Gold per day assumes one tile, replanting every cycle, with processing keeping pace. To model machine throughput, garden layout and companion adjacency together, use the Garden Planner.
Crop profit FAQ
Which crop makes the most gold in Palia?
It depends on your settings, but over a month of replanting on a single tile the fast, cheap-seed crops usually win on gold-per-day because they cycle so many times. Sort the table by "Gold / day" to see the current winner for your gardening level and processing choice.
What does "gold per day" mean here?
We grow one tile of each crop for the chosen window — replanting at the end of every cycle and harvesting every reharvest — then divide the net gold (sales minus seed cost) by the number of days. It's the steady-state return of dedicating one garden tile to that crop, so you can compare a fast 4-day crop against a slow reharvesting one fairly.
Should I sell crops, seeds, or preserves?
Switch the "Sell as" control to compare. Preserve jars almost always pay the most per crop, but they take real-world minutes to process — so a big harvest can outrun your jars. For a true gold-per-hour with machine limits, use the Garden Planner's realistic-processing mode; this table assumes processing keeps up.
Do companion bonuses change the ranking?
Yes. Turn on Quality Boost (more star-quality crops) and Harvest Boost (extra crops per harvest) to see each crop's potential in an optimised garden where neighbours grant those buffs. The bare-tile defaults show the conservative floor.
