Troubled Waters

Overview

Something has changed within the depths of the Temples, and Subira needs your help investigating why.

Objectives

1. Part 1

   Subira has requested your urgent presence inside the Temple of the Waves. It would be good to see what she might want.

   • Speak to Subira in the Temple of the Waves.

2. Part 2

   The sensors Subira placed inside the Temple of the Waves were set off last night, by persons unknown. She's requested you join her to investigate.

   • Meet Subira further inside.

3. Part 3

   The intruder is gone from the Temple of the Waves, but they may have left clues behind to what they were looking for. Keep an eye out for anything strange.

   • Search the Temple for anything strange.

4. Part 4

   You've discovered a door that was previously blocked. There appears to be a mechanism to unlock it. Maybe Subira has some ideas that could help?

   • Find a way to unlock the Temple door.
   • Speak to Subira again.

5. Part 5

   You've figured out how to unlock the mysterious door within the Temple of the Waves. Now, you simply need to see what's on the other side.

   • Go through the newly unlocked door.

6. Part 6

   You've discovered a previously unknown room within the Temple of the Waves. It'd be best to check back in with Subira before going further.

   • Talk to Subira.

7. Part 7

   There must be some way to reach the other side of this flooded room. Perhaps a leap of faith, much like the one you took in the Temple of the Flames, is the first step?

   • Find your way across the water.

8. Part 8

   Now that you've crossed the flood, you've discovered a single Ancient Human console. Could this be what the intruder was looking for as well?

   • Investigate the console for traces of the intruder.

9. Part 9

   You have discovered on the Ancient Human console that roughly half a day ago, someone disabled something called the "Cosmos Protocol". Time to regroup with Subira and discuss what you've found.

   • Reconvene with Subira.

Walkthrough

1. 1
   Go to the Temple of the Waves and speak with Subira inside. She asks you to search for any sign of an intruder.

   • Right behind Subira there's a Mysterious Rock you can pick up. Subira tells you it's a spent runestone carrying a "fly" enchantment.
   • The statue offers a new interaction: "The statue is covered in a fine layer of dust, except for a single handprint on the chest."

   Glide over the chasm to reach the main temple and take a look around.

   • On the bookshelf to the right of the landing area, there are new books you can interact with.

   Heading into the area on the left, you come upon a door that wasn't reachable before. Now you need to work out how to unlock it.

   • Speak with Subira if you want advice on what to do next.

   This room holds a few new items.

   • New books on two of the shelves that you can interact with.
   • A tablet by the door listing overdue books. Each was checked out by an Ancient Human overseer.

   Pass through the door to uncover a part of the Temple no one knew about. Subira points out a platform across the flooded area and asks you to find a way over.

   • To get across the water, check the plants on each platform. A Bahari Nettle Flower sits at the water's edge. Straight across from it is a platform with another Bahari Nettle Flower. Walk over the water to that platform.
   • The other plant on this new platform is a Datura Flower. Find a platform with a matching Datura Flower lined up straight from this one, in this case to the left. Walk over the water to that platform.
   • Keep going this way until you make it to the far side of the room.
7. 7
   Use the Ancient Human console and read through the user logs. You learn that an unknown user shut off the Cosmos Protocol recently.
8. 8
   Talk it over with Subira, who tracks the intruder's Flow signature to the Temple of the Flames, your next destination.
