Overview

You've been trapped by Tamala in the mysterious caves, with no obvious way out. Still, there has to be something, right?

Objectives

1. Part 1

   • Find another way out of the Beast's lair.

2. Part 2

   You've encountered infected vines blocking your way. Perhaps there's a method to destroying them?

   • Find a way to break the vine.
   • Optional: Look for any clues to help you.

3. Part 3

   You've made it past the vines, but you aren't in the clear yet. Keep looking for an exit!

4. Part 4

   You've found an old trap door that seems to lead somewhere promising. The only problem? It's locked. Search around the door for the key.

   • Find the key for the trap door.

5. Part 5

   You found the key, and it's time to see where this door leads!

   • Go through the trap door.

6. Part 6

   Another cave, but this one certainly seems to lead somewhere. One foot in front of the other, Palian!

   • Keep looking for a way out.

7. Part 7

   It seems you aren't alone in these caves. A boy's been trapped by the infected vines. Hey, wasn't Nai'o looking for a lost boy? Better find a way to where he's trapped.

   • Find a way to the trapped boy.

8. Part 8

   You've reached the trapped boy, and all that's left is to clear these pesky vines.

   • Free the trapped boy from the vines.

9. Part 9

   The boy is free! Better check in on him and make sure he's okay.

   • Check in with the boy.

10. Part 10

    Fresh air and freedom, finally. Subira's cleared the final obstacle and taken you out of the dank caves. Time to see what you missed while you were trapped.

Walkthrough

1. 1
   A note in the lair reveals that filling a basin with your watering can coats your hands in Flow, which lets you cut through the infected vines. You'll rely on this trick over and over as you make your way out of the cave.

   • Optional: A chest sits behind some vines on a platform in the main room.

   Scale the rope ladder on the cave's right side near the campfire, which leads you to a door you can pass through.

   Use the basin nearby to cut down the vines.

   You arrive in a storeroom with a locked trap door. Dig the spots in the room with your hoe to uncover the key.

   Head through the trap door.

   Move forward to set off some dialogue.

   Work your way through the ruins toward the trapped boy. Follow this route:

   • Cut the vines on the left and ride the ramp down.
   • Once you reach the bottom of the slide, go right. Right before the dead end with a grate, hop up onto the ledge on the left.
   • Cut the vines on the left and ride the ramp down.
   • Head right and follow the tunnel to another basin. Beyond it is a drop off plus two routes blocked by vines.
   • Cut the vines on the right and ride the ramp down.
   • Keep going forward, cutting vines until you reach the next basin. Clear the vines and step into the maze. Use your compass directions and follow this route. Now and then you may have to double back to refill a basin.

     • Head south toward the red light.
     • Face west and clear the vines.
     • Head north and clear the vines blocking a basin.
     • Draw from this water basin to clear the vine to the west.
     • Press on, clearing vines, until you arrive at the main room holding the lost boy.

   Optional: A treasure chest waits behind the trapped boy.

   Fill the water basin once more and free the trapped boy.

    Lastly, speak with the boy.

    Talk to Subira outside the cave to wrap up the quest.
